Intriguing Mysteries
Rosslyn Chapel is worth a visit for those interested in mystery, knights templar, the Holy Grail and UFO sightings! It really is a must-see destination for those drawn to the unknown.
Unique Landscapes
It’s hard to believe, that the Scottish Borders offer some of the most mesmerizing landscapes in all of Scotland. The region’s gently undulating hills are dotted with crumbling castles and ancient ruins. All of this is set against lush, green farmland and mixed woodlands.
Filming Locations
Interestingly, the Scottish Borders have served as the backdrop for some of the most iconic films and TV series in recent years. Including The Da Vinci Code, Tarzan, Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. Meanwhile the area’s enchanting castles, chapels, and gardens are magical places to visit.
Colourful History
Equally, the Scottish Borders has a rich and often turbulent history. Today, the peaceful landscape belies the centuries of conflict that shaped it. The region was once conquered by the Romans and later plagued by the infamous Border Reivers, notorious for their raids and lawlessness.
