Private trout fishing near Glasgow
Firstly, Alba have access to fishing at a private trout fishing loch close to Glasgow. This is not available to other guiding companies, and is located close to Glasgow Airport (20 minutes).
Furthermore, this private loch is set in majestic scenery near Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. This is a perfect trout loch for experienced anglers to enjoy fly fishing, or novices learning to fly fish.
In fact, we use this venue often for our fly fishing lessons. The fishing here is tranquil and exclusive and very private. Trout fishing here is for both wild brown trout and rainbow trout, using floating lines, small imitative patterns and dry flies.
We have used this private loch for corporate fishing events and for private parties including senior board members from Gazprom and other Blue Chip companies. In order to access this loch, you have to travel along a private road, which is guarded by a security gate. Consequently, this loch is very private and ideal for VIP guests.
Safe Fishing from bank - ideal for kids
First of all, trout fishing at this loch is from the bank. In fact, no wading is necessary as trout can be targeted from the shore without spooking the fish. Moreover, access for less-mobile guests is easy, you can drive straight to the loch-side.
Furthermore, as you walk around the loch, it's easy to spot fish and sight cast to them. The best techniques for brown and rainbow trout in this loch are small imitative trout flies. We use special flies hand tied by our guides. They are highly effective.
Furthermore, it's all catch and release at this venue. Additionally, it's located very close to Cameron House so ideal for small private parties and groups. In fact, if you're looking for privacy, this is the perfect venue.
