Glencoe is one of Scotland’s most beautiful, dramatic and imperious landscapes. The rugged wild scenery, has been used as a backdrop in many famous movies. The mountains are a photographers dream. There is an abundance of great fishing in this area, and for non anglers, hill walking, incredible scenery, and sightseeing.

Fishing in the Glencoe area

There is a vast fishing portfolio nearby. To the south of Glencoe, the scenic River Orchy and River Awe are both excellent salmon rivers. They are rugged, scenic and wild, echoing the tradition of salmon fishing in Scotland.

Loch Awe holds the current UK record and fishes well particularly in the spring. To the North fo Glencoe, you have the famous River Lochy, jewel of salmon fishing in Scotland. The river Garry should not be missed either. Further west, there are some of Scotland’s finest trout lochs, Loch Arkaig, Garry, Quoich and Morar, not only offer fantastic scenery, but the chance to catch some of the biggest wild brown trout in Scotland.
