Sea Fishing in near Knockinaam
Speaking of fish…you could not find a corner of Scotland offering more exciting angling opportunities than Knockinaam. In fact, nearby you can charter a small boat and fish close to the shore for hard fighting pollock, wrasse and tope.
Moreover, these awesome predators will take the fly, or lures fished with small spinning rods from the boat. Fishing in only 25-35 feet of water, underneath the majestic clifftops of the Mull of Galloway. Therefore, this trip is ideal for two anglers and a guide, with the skipper manoeuvring the boat to different spots. Accordingly, some days have produced over 70 pollock on the fly. Expect pollock to 10 pounds, last year we had skate to 187 pounds and Tope to 50pounds.This is sea angling in Scotland at its finest.
Knockinaam has 10 beautifully appointed bedrooms and a family room. A short stroll down from the hotel is a private beach and views out to Ireland over the Irish sea.
