Catering on the River and Loch Side – A Taste of Scotland
Firstly, we have been catering for our guests since 2004. We try to use locally sourced and organic ingredients. In fact, Alba was the first outdoor event company to be listed on “Taste of Scotland” website. Moreover, we featured in articles in the Scottish Field and Sky TV for our legendary lunches.
Alba Fishing have teamed up Cook. Cook produce ready made meals, that are carefully prepared by hand, using the best ingredients. They are ideal for the river bank, tasty and hygienic to prepare and store.
We use large cool boxes and heath food up when serving lunches in fishing huts or under gazebos.
In addition we have teamed up with Redwood Wines. Moreover, they produce the most delicious lunches with paired wines. These lunch/ wine combos are available for fishing days on the River Tay.
Finally, if running an event, why not add, cheese platters, served on Barcaldine slate, Port, Cigars or anything else that takes your fancy. The answer is Yes, what’s the question.
Typical Fishing Lunch Menu
Firstly, if you prefer a hot lunch on the fishing days we deliver. The cost is £40 for one person and £60 for two. This includes paired wines and an end of day dram, soft drinks and snacks. Here is the menu:
Lamb Tajine Lamb Tajine – Slow cooked lamb in Moroccan spices served with sous sous and pomegranate (Contains nuts, dairy free)
Beef Bourgenon – Slow-cooked top rump steak, smoked bacon, mushrooms and caramelised baby onions with plenty of Merlot wine
Organic Chicken Thai Curry – Sweet fragrant curry, with coconut, lime, galangal and coriander.
- Traditional Scotch Broth Soup – a meal in itself, made with a chicken stock and array of seasonal vegetables and pulses. Served with crusty artisan bread
Photography
Furthermore, Alba offer the option of professional photography of your days fishing. We use full frame Nikon DSLR cameras (Nikon D850) and prime lenses. These images are then sent to the clients using a link to Dropbox. as a result the cost of professional photography for the day is £350.00. In addition, included in this price is the production of a photo book.
