Kingsmuir House is a lovingly restored Victorian House in the village of Peebles, on the River Tweed. Peebles, a picturesque market town, and a 40 minute drive south from Edinburgh is the perfect fishing base. There are two stylish and comfortable suites, with Super King sized beds. The Bonnington Suite, can be split to two single beds. Both suites are spacious, and have relaxing lounge areas, as well as en-suite bathrooms. Kingsmuir House won National Winner for the best Bed and Breakfast in Scotland, at the Thistle Awards . Kingsmuir is also rated 5 star “Gold” status from VisitScotland, and the AA.
This is a property where you won’t find boxes of cereal beside the breakfast table, the levels of detail and the food are excellent. Kingsmuir rarely offers dinner, but the breakfasts are superb and there are many great restaurants within walking distance of the house.
The owner of Kingsmuir, Malcolm, is very accommodating and well-connected in the Borders. He is always willing to help, with advice, contacts and knowledge of the area. He can also secure dinner reservations, in nearby restaurants.
