The Farmhouse is an ideal stop off, on our mixed fishing and touring vacations of Scotland. The river Spey is approximately 40 minutes drive from the farmhouse and cottages. There is also plenty to see and do in the Cairngorms and Speyside area. The farmhouse is also perfectly located, for the cross-country transfer to the West Coast and on to Skye, via Laggan, and Spean Bridge.

Additionally evening meals are sometimes provided, and are truly delicious and carefully created, using local produce, wild game, organic vegetables and eggs from the properties own hens. Even though the farmhouse is 5 minutes away from the Upper Spey, it’s still possible to reach the premium salmon beats of the Spey.

Also, our guests have raved about this unique property over the last 6 years, it is the perfect escape. Meanwhile, the surrounding gardens are alive with wild flowers and fruit trees, and at night you can sit by a bonfire and watch the stars.

Lastly, the river Spey is about 40 minutes drive from Killiehuntly. It’s a scenic drive and Salmon anglers can enjoy the morning drive to the river Spey and spey casting for Atlantic salmon in a majestic setting. In addition, non anglers can enjoy a huge choice of touring and sightseeing options in the area.

Killiehuntly is located on the fringes of the Cairngorms National Park, close to Ruthven Barracks, a Red Coat Garrison that was partially destroyed by fleeing Jacobites in 1746. It is an area of outstanding beauty.
